The Advanced Categories Module is designed to provide maximum flexibility with regard to
how you display categories in your store. The module used by store owners who wish to
have more control over which categories are displayed without having to modify template or
core files. You can choose the have the module displayed on any layout in your store and at any
content location (Top, Bottom, Left, Right), although we think it looks best on either the left or
right sidebar.
If you have vQMod version 2.1.6 or newer installed, you can also take advantage of more
advanced features like the ability to hide the refine section on the categories page. There are no
core files modified by this module leaving you free to upgrade or apply security patches as new
versions of OpenCart are available.
